Stantec is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to provide technical leadership for our clients and staff on a variety of Power sector projects. This position will be part of Stantec's Environmental Services team that provides the full range of expertise needed to address a variety of projects, including support to public utilities, new electric transmission and rebuild projects, project access road planning and design, civil / environmental substation and battery storage facility design, and solar site / civil / stormwater due diligence and design development. Our staff members have established excellent working relationships with utilities and Power sector developers throughout the mid-Atlantic, and our knowledge and interdisciplinary expertise allow us to help our clients develop the most effective and innovative approaches to their environmental / engineering compliance goals.
Your Key Responsibilities
Assist with development and implementation of strategic business / action plan, provide leadership, and deliver results to expand Stantec's environmental practice specifically related to assessment and remediation opportunities. Serve as a key member of the practice team to drive profitable growth across service lines (natural resources, assessment permitting and compliance including Section 401 / 404 of the Clean Water Act and NEPA, ecosystem services, stormwater management, and water resources management) in the Eastern US.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused to understand and appropriately respond to client's business needs. Must demonstrate effective resource planning, results delivery, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation. Strong understanding of federal and state regulations and permitting requirements including the required supporting documentation. Proven ability to maintain and establish effective working relationships. Knowledge of documents related to requests for proposals, invitations for bid, and tendering offers. Work effectively in a team environment. Project and task management experience with strong attention to detail. Demonstrated team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Excellent technical writing, organizational, and communications skills.
Education and Experience
BS / MS in environmental sciences or related field to support state and federal permitting processes. Minimum of 15 years' experience permitting, wetland and streams issues, stormwater permitting, technical reports, and compliance. Individual experience in managing complex, individual permit applications and projects from start to finish. Pay Transparency : In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
