Summary of Position
The Radiologic Technology department at RRCC is seeking an instructor to serve as a clinical site visitor.
The Radiologic Technology department offers an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Radiologic Technology. This JRCERT accredited degree program prepares students for a career in x-ray imaging as a Radiologic Technologist. The program starts in the fall, and spans 21 months / 5 semesters. Instruction occurs primarily at the Arvada campus, but also via online coursework and clinical internship at medical facilities.
This position reports to the Program Director. Weekly hours would be 1-2 days of clinical site visits in the Denver Metro Area. Schedule may be negotiable. Position may require hours outside of normal work schedule. The pay for this position is $51.07 per hourly clinical site visits. Mileage is reimbursed. Pay is commensurate with education and experience. This is a part-time, FLSA exempt position and may work up to 28 hours per week, depending on budget and need. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
The Radiologic Technology Instructor plays a vital role in preparing students for successful careers in medical imaging. This position is responsible for providing instruction in clinical settings, including traveling to clinical sites to supervise and mentor students while maintaining strong partnerships with site staff. The instructor will evaluate student performance, and offer academic advising to support student progress. Additional responsibilities include participating in program meetings, trainings, accreditation activities, and institutional events. Medical insurance is offered to instructors and other variable hour employees who have worked, on average, at least 30 hours per week in a 12-month period. RRCC / CCCS uses an initial 12-month measurement period to determine medical benefit eligibility, and a 12-month standard measurement period. Student employees are limited to working no more than 20 hours a week when classes are in session, and may work up to 28 hours a week, during academic breaks or breaks between terms at the discretion of the college, and non-classified hourly and temporary staff are limited to 28 hours in a workweek, depending on budget and need. Sick leave is granted in accordance with , accrued at one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
Instructors and non-student hourly are required to contribute to at a fixed percentage of their salary and do not contribute to Social Security. RRCC / CCCS student employees are not eligible to participate in PERA. RRCC / CCCS offers three tax-deferred investment plans, including 401(k), 403(b) and 457.
