Epic Orders Analyst

Our client is seeking a certified and detail-oriented Epic Orders Analyst to join their Clinical Applications team. This position plays a key role in maintaining and optimizing the Epic Inpatient Orders module, ensuring efficient, compliant, and user-friendly workflows that support clinical operations. The ideal candidate has a strong command of Epic build and configuration, understands inpatient clinical processes, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

This role is onsite in Boston, Massachusetts.

Epic Orders Analyst Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain the Epic Inpatient Orders application to align with clinical and operational requirements.
• Optimize and enhance Epic workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience across departments.
• Manage provider access, procedure catalog maintenance, and integration with external systems (HL7 and related interfaces).
• Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to translate business needs into effective Epic solutions.
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities to ensure quality and stability of system builds and upgrades.
• Prepare and maintain thorough documentation of configuration decisions, workflows, and change management processes.
• Support go-live, post-implementation, and optimization phases, ensuring smooth transitions for end users.
• Provide ongoing application support, resolving incidents within defined SLAs and assisting in training and knowledge sharing.
• Evaluate upcoming Epic releases and determine the impact of new functionality on existing systems.
• Travel as needed for implementation support, large-scale upgrades, and go-live events.
