TheNurse Practitioner can
- change the treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior, and physical condition, and determine if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725).
- Provide and coordinate the care of General Surgery patients,
- provide patient / family education, and promote safe continuity of care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds,
- provide education and support as well as make appropriate referrals.
- Document services rendered.
This is a limited appointment for 5 months. A limited appointment may convert to career.
Salary Range : $89.06- $127.19 / hourly
Qualifications
BLS Certification from American Red Cross or American Heart AssociationGraduation from accredited School of Nursing with MSN / DNP with a FNP Specialty - required.Current, valid CA Nurse Practitioner License and CA RN License-requiredState of California NP, National Board Certification -requiredDemonstrated skill in delivery of patient care -requiredDemonstrated work experience of over 2 years in management of outpatient medical problems- required2 years NP exp- requiredBilingual Spanish / English communication skills-preferredWorking knowledge of other health, mental health and social services agencies in the area-preferredAbility to utilize Excel, word, and other software programs-requiredAbility to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical, and academic personnel-requiredSkill in working independently and following through with minimum direction-requiredAbility to set priorities-requiredDemonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed, and grammatically correct correspondence-requiredDocument patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner-required
