Job Description

Apply paint, varnish, stain, etc. to interior and exterior surfaces with brushes, rollers, and / or sprayers.

Properly prepare surfaces prior to application of finish including but not limited to sanding, filling holes, and cleaning.

Maintain shop areas, all paints and painting supplies, equipment and associated parts of the assigned trade.

Perform preventative maintenance as needed.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma preferred.

One (1) year of previous paint and paperhanging experience preferred.

Must have hand and finger dexterity necessary to accomplish duties.

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time during a shift.

Other physical requirements include but are not limited to grasping, reaching, climbing, kneeling, bending, and twisting.

Must possess knowledge of necessary equipment and the appropriate safety standards.

Knowledge of all necessary hand tools and painting equipment.

Must be able to match paint and wallpaper colors.

Must have excellent communication skills.

Proficient in the use of company computer programs to include email and ordering systems.

Utilization of company work order system to start and complete work orders based on priority.

Must be able to obtain / maintain any necessary certifications and / or licenses.
