Overview
The On-Call Crisis Specialist is able to carry out their normal life activities (sleep, read, spend time with family) at home unless called to assess a patient at the Three Rivers Medical Center Emergency Department. While relaxing at home or in the community, position is paid $26 per hour.
When Specialist receives a call to respond to the hospital, pay for these "hospital response hours" ranges from $38.50 to $47.47 an hour dependent on education and experience. On-Call Specialists who work at least 140 hours in a 6-month period earn an additional $800 bonus every 6 months.
Responsibilities
This position screens patients for a mental health hold, may offer respite or diversion from hospitalization to Option's inpatient program and develops safety plans with patients and their significant others. Training is provided and back up clinical consultation via phone is always available.
Qualifications
This position requires a Master's degree in a behavioral science or a BSN, an understanding of co-occurring disorders, and related experience.
Must be registered as a licensure intern with the State of Oregon or be licensed in Oregon as an LMFT, LCSW, LPC or clinical Psychologist,

Must be a QMHP on the Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) registry.

Candidates must be able to use e-mail, compose documents, save and locate documents electronically, and learn to use our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Proficiency in Word and other MS Office applications preferred.
Must pass state-required background and DMV checks; possess a valid OR driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. Candidate must be able to work independently and flexibly, under general supervision.
