Job Description

Job Title : Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Experience : Minimum 1 year

License : Current certification in relevant field

Certifications : Current CPR certification

Must-Have :

Candidates must have current experience in the cardiac cath lab.

A minimum of 2 years of experience is required for RNs.

Techs must have current experience with cath lab, interventional radiology, and neuro interventional radiology.

Experience in electrophysiology is a plus.

Description :

The unit features 4 procedural rooms and 14 recovery bays.

There are 45 staff members on the team.

During the day shift, there are 3-4 staff members assigned to each procedural room.

The night shift operates with an on-call 4-person team.

The patient-to-staff ratio is 3-4 staff members per patient procedure.

The unit utilizes advanced equipment including cath, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and neuro interventional radiology labs.

Typical procedures performed include :

Cardiac catheterization

Left and right heart catheterization

Intra-aortic balloon pump insertion

Percutaneous coronary interventions

Thrombolytic infusion

Pacemaker placement

Stent placement

Intravascular ultrasound

AngioJet thrombectomy

Atherectomy

Angiography

Biventricular implants

Electrophysiology studies

IVC filters

Coiling

Impella insertion

Carotid stenting

Carotid angiograms

Renal angiograms

AICD implants

All interventional radiology procedures

Dress Code :

Scrub color should be any provided by the facility.

Black, white, or gray shoes are required.

Unit Guidelines / Policies :

Call is required 2 nights per week and every other weekend.

Additional Information :

Information about new equipment and technology will be provided.
