Job Summary : As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing critical production components, managing Bills of Materials (BOMs), and ensuring materials are available for teams building next-gen hardware and integrated systems. You'll be hands-on in a fast-paced environment, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs and production scale-up. You'll collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and program teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement. Your attention to detail and proactive mindset will help mitigate risk and keep projects on track from prototype to full-rate production.
Responsibilities :
- Execute sourcing activities for COTS materials and support procurement agents an as required for schedule success
- Place purchase orders in alignment with materials requirements and delivery schedule
- Own end-to-end procurement process including RFQ issuance, T&Cs redline suggestions for contracts review, PO issuance, PO management and on time delivery, past due PO management, invoicing accuracy, problem invoice
- Support engineering change management through BOM revisions and sourcing impact analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally to influence part selection and supplier qualification
- Monitor and manage supplier performance for quality, cost, and on-time delivery
- Escalate and mitigate supply chain risks; help develop contingency plans
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, systems, and vendor relationships
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and system records
- Contribute to our inclusive and accountable culture through respectful, team-oriented communication
Basic Qualifications :
BS degree in Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field and 2+ years of procurement experienceUnderstanding of supplier risk identification, mitigation and contingency planningUnderstanding of negotiation of price and terms and conditionsPreferred Skills and Experience :
3+ years' experience in a NPI, automotive, defense, commercial electronics, or aerospaceKnowledge of FAR / DFAR, CPSR, DPAS ratings a plus – but not requiredDeep understanding of query languages and data analyticsGood written and oral communication skillsCollaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organizationOrganized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentITAR REQUIREMENTS :

As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, Epirus provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
For the state of California only, the range of starting pay for this role is :
$77,200—$89,000 USD
