As a member of the ETC System Maintenance team, this role supports the Golden Gate Bridge's Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) System 2.0. The technician will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across host and lane systems, ensuring system availability, transaction accuracy, and compliance with performance KPIs.
This role requires proficiency in troubleshooting networked systems, interpreting diagnostic alerts, and maintaining physical tolling infrastructure components including AVI readers, ALPR cameras, DVAS systems, and lane controllers. Technicians will also manage inventory using Jira Asset Management and respond to emergency incidents per the District's protocols.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, Employee must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer. Employee must also possess the ability to work at roadside locations when overseeing or performing hands-on maintenance tasks, including the ability to use maintenance vehicles such as bucket trucks. Employee must be able to lift and carry up to fifty pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT : A mixture of on-site maintenance work and working out of a local maintenance facility. If work is performed in the office, it is in an air-conditioned building. Potential for high noise level due to proximity to high-speed traffic and equipment rooms. Safety protocols and equipment will be provided as needed to mitigate these types of risks.
