Maxwood Furniture is a fast-growing furniture company with a strong footprint across e-commerce and retail. To keep our operations moving smoothly, we’re partnering with local CDL Owner Operators to handle port and warehouse loads in the Charleston, Johnsonville, and Marion area.

Local Hauling

Pick up and deliver loads from local ports, warehouses, and distribution centers
Ensure on-time, safe, and efficient deliveries
Haul short runs — no overnights required

Equipment & Compliance

Maintain your tractor / truck in safe, road-ready condition

Comply with DOT regulations, port requirements, and safety standards

Complete and return load paperwork accurately

Communication & Coordination

Stay in touch with Maxwood’s logistics team for scheduling and load details

Flag any issues or delays quickly and professionally

Represent Maxwood with reliability and professionalism on every run

Requirements :

Valid CDL (Class A)

Active Owner Operator with reliable tractor / truck

Current insurance and operating authority

TWIC card strongly preferred for port access

Solid safety record and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

Previous port experience in Charleston, SC

Flexible availability for short-notice or same-day hauls

Knowledge of local routes and port procedures
