A Brief Overview
Working as a member of the Asset Management Team within the Real Estate Investments Division, this role supports the Executive Director and VP, Portfolio Manager while leading and managing the efforts within the asset management function of a $9.5B portfolio (and growing) across the US, UK, and Canada. Responsibilities include portfolio surveillance, annual market valuations, special servicing activities such as loan restructuring or foreclosures, internal management reporting, and processing borrower requests, including, but not limited to, escrow disbursements, loan assumptions, borrower restructures, lease reviews, and collateral modifications. The candidate will report to the Executive Director Asset Management.
What You Will Do
- Participates in the development of tools, processes and reports for performing ongoing surveillance and analysis of the real estate commercial mortgage loan portfolio and targeted commercial property markets.
- Leads and manages a team, while personally overseeing a small portfolio, overseeing asset management loan requests, internal ratings, and surveillance processes for the real estate commercial mortgage loan portfolio. Portfolio management responsibilities include requesting and collecting information to assist in portfolio surveillance, quality ratings, annual inspections, loan requests, and other special projects as required.
- Oversees and manages the collection, recording, and preliminary analysis of borrower, property, and operating statement information for preliminary underwriting, annual reviews and / or reporting purposes.
- Proactively monitors and analyzes the real estate commercial mortgage loan portfolio, develops and implements strategies to mitigate identified risks, collaborates with appropriate partners to maximize recovery and liaises with internal departments and external partners as needed.
- Leads the effort to develop portfolio management reports and will recommend and implement enhancements to the reporting processes.
- Develops and implements comprehensive onboarding programs, conducts training sessions, and oversees the integration of new hires, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills, knowledge, and cultural understanding to excel in their roles.
- Liaison and representative user of the Smart Capital Asset Management software.
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor's Degree in Arts / Sciences (BA / BS)3+ Years experience directly working with institutional asset managementor5+ Years of experience in a commercial real estate, or equivalent, environment.Preferred

In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
