Electrical Engineer / Designer / Project Manager

Overview
This is a growth-focused, leadership-track role designed for an experienced electrical professional ready to lead projects, build client relationships, and take ownership of the full project lifecycle. What You’ll Do
- Manage multiple electrical design projects across various stages of development, from early schematics through construction administration.
- Serve as the lead engineer and project manager on assigned efforts—owning scope, schedule, budget, design quality, and client communication.
- Coordinate internally with MEP teams and externally with architects, consultants, and utility providers.
- Lead or contribute to client meetings, site visits, field observations, and punch list efforts.
- Execute technical design tasks including lighting and power system layouts, service load calculations, short circuit and voltage drop analysis.
- Prepare one-line diagrams, equipment specs, and written narratives.
- Support documentation and quality control processes, including construction specifications and peer reviews.
- Take part in proposal development or fee planning as opportunities arise.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (required).5+ years of experience in commercial electrical system design, ideally across healthcare, K-12, aviation, and / or mixed-use sectors.Familiarity with NEC, IBC, and sustainable design standards (LEED AP BD+C is a plus).Experience in client-facing roles with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project demands.Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience is strongly preferred, but the team will support growth if you're comfortable getting up to speed.Working knowledge of SKM, AGi32, and Bluebeam is beneficial.PE license preferred or in active pursuit. Within your first year, you'll be expected to integrate into the team's workflow, contribute meaningfully to client deliverables, and begin leading your own projects. Success will be measured by technical excellence, team integration, client satisfaction, and overall ownership of your work. The team uses a proprietary performance-based incentive program (PIPS) that ties bonus earnings (up to 30 to 40%) to metrics like teamwork, innovation, mentoring, and client feedback.
