Project Manager – Pavement Marking / Road Safety Construction
Direct Hire | $90k–$105k + 5% Bonus | Full Benefits + 401k Match | First Shift (Mon–Fri, occasional nights for some projects)
A leading company in road safety construction is looking to hire Project Managers to oversee pavement marking and traffic control projects . We have two openings with slightly different focuses — one more field operations / project execution oriented, and one more branch / business management oriented.
Key Responsibilities (both roles)
- Manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring conformance to scope, schedule, budget, and safety standards.
- Lead crews and staff, providing direction, scheduling, and performance oversight.
- Promote and enforce corporate and DOT safety policies, building a strong safety-first culture.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and material resources across multiple projects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with customers, DOT agencies, and stakeholders, resolving scope changes or disputes.
- Monitor financial performance of projects, including job costing, variance analysis, forecasting, and revenue / cost projections.
- Provide project documentation, reporting, and close-out packages.
Role 1 : Project-Focused PM (Field Operations)
Heavy emphasis on crew scheduling, equipment readiness, and DOT compliance .Oversee daily operations including truck loading, materials, and estimating support.Lead by example in safety enforcement and on-site supervision.May require occasional night shifts .Role 2 : Senior / Branch-Focused PM (Business Operations)
Broader scope including branch operations, equipment management, and DOT compliance .Make recommendations on hiring, promotions, and employee development .Mentor and coach project personnel, building high-performing teams.Greater emphasis on cash flow optimization, profit maximization, and forecasting margins .Strictly first shift, Mon–Fri schedule .Qualifications (for both)
High School diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree a plus).5+ years of management experience in pavement marking, traffic control, or construction.Strong understanding of job costing, forecasting, and financial management .Ability to effectively schedule crews and resources for maximum efficiency.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); ERP experience a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer service mindset.Industry involvement (DOT coalitions, trade associations, etc.) preferred.Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check / drug screen.Why Join Us?
