Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a WA or compact license and prior travel nursing assignments.
Responsibilities
Position is based in the Labor and Delivery unit of a short-term acute care Level II Trauma CenterCare for patients with over 300 births per month, including a variety of delivery proceduresNight shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30Floating to other units within scope may be required to meet facility needsPatient ratios and weekend requirements will be determined by the facilityEpic EMR with required experience, and use of OBIX / Stork chartingNo on-call responsibilitiesResponsibilities include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&Cs, postpartum tubal ligations, inductions, cervical ripening, antepartum observations, management of placental abnormalities, triage, fetal surveillance, IV hydration, and cerclage proceduresScrubs are provided by the facilityParking is free in the employee lotOrientation sessions are held bi-weekly on MondaysModules are not required for this assignmentFirst-time travelers are accepted for considerationAll time off requests must be included prior to contract signingHoliday shift coverage may be required depending on unit needsRequirements
Active WA or compact RN license, or proof of application at time of considerationMinimum 2 years of recent L&D experience, or 1 year L&D plus mother / baby experienceAt least two completed travel nursing assignments requiredCurrent certifications as required for L&D in WAOne year of Epic experience requiredAbility to start and maintain peripheral IVsFully vaccinated status requiredNot open to local candidates (must live outside a 60-mile radius)No more than one DUI on recordReturn travelers must have at least a one-year separation from previous employment with the health systemBenefits
