Annual Salary : $130k $165k (varies depending on years of experience)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) Supervisor to lead our client s school-based health team. In this supervisory role, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to students, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a culture of excellence in care. A valid Medicare / Medicaid credential is required to ensure access to care for underserved populations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school-based health team, including Nurse Practitioners and support staff.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations for team members.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including Medicare / Medicaid guidelines.
- Support staff in conducting comprehensive health assessments, diagnosing, and managing student health conditions.
- Act as a clinical resource for complex cases and provide second opinions when needed.
- Monitor the quality of care provided, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Develop and implement health programs to meet the needs of the student population, including preventive care and health education initiatives.
- Collaborate with school administrators, counselors, and community partners to enhance the school s health services.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to coordinate care and address student needs.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Prepare and review reports on service delivery, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and maintain Medicare / Medicaid billing practices to ensure adherence to guidelines.
Requirements :
Master s degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in NY.Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP).Medicare / Medicaid credentialing required.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.Experience in school-based health settings or pediatric care preferred.Strong leadership and management skills, including team-building and conflict resolution.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with staff, students, and families.Atlas Search is a tri-state area recruitment agency, connecting new graduates, Advanced Practice Providers, Physicians and Nurse Leaders to hospitals, clinics, multi-specialty groups, nursing homes, managed care companies, private practices, and healthcare start-ups.
