Position Summary :
The Computer Science Department at the New Jersey
Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications for a tenure-track
faculty position starting in Fall 2026. Exceptional candidates will be
considered in all areas of Computer Science, but priority will be given to
those that can build synergies in the area of Cybersecurity, defined broadly.
We aim to hire at the rank of Assistant Professor, but exceptional candidates
at higher ranks will also be considered.
Essential Functions :
department's undergraduate and graduate instructional programs, pursue external
funding, and publish in top conferences and journals.
location in Jersey City, just across the Hudson River from the financial
district of Lower Manhattan in New York City, where it serves the vast pool of
working professionals in the region. The faculty may be called upon to teach at
this location as needed.
Prerequisite Qualifications :
discipline, and outstanding academic credentials that demonstrate their ability
to conduct independent world-class research and attract external funding.
Bargaining Unit : PSA
Salary Information :
In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for the assistant level position is $85,000-$120,000 and the associate level position is $100,000-$120,000. NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
