Open heart recovery experience is required. Post cardiac procedure recovery experience is essential. The unit consists of 8 beds. The patient ratio is 1 : 1 to 1 : 3. The patient population includes post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, TAVRs, and post-complex PCI interventions. Procedures include post-open heart care, post-cardiac procedures, surgical interventions, central line placements, arterial line placements, and chest tube placements. Experience with Edwards monitoring and GE monitoring is necessary. Familiarity with SWAN Ganz catheters is required.
