Job Overview
Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team at our Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN! This is a .75 FTE (60 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work the following schedule with a possible on-call rotation (subject to change).
Week 1 and 2 : Monday 8AM - 4 : 30PM, Tuesday 9 : 30AM - 6PM, Thursday 9 : 30AM - 6PM, Friday 9 : 30AM - 6PM
Week 3 : Monday 8AM - 4 : 30PM, Thursday 9 : 30AM - 6PM, Friday 9 : 30AM - 6PM
Week 4 : Monday 8AM - 4 : 30PM, Tuesday 9 : 30AM - 6PM, Thursday 8AM - 4 : 30PM, Friday 9 : 30AM - 6PM.
The Hospital Radiologic Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging in a hospital setting. Responsible for providing quality age-appropriate patient care for inpatients and outpatients according to established standards of practice and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The hospital radiologic technologist supports all imaging procedures, surgical cases, fluoroscopy studies, portable x-ray, and general x-ray performed in the hospital. Provides assist in the opening of the supplies / equipment for surgical and special procedure cases as well as responding to codes, trauma activations and other emergent needs for imaging in an acute care environment.
Responsibilities
Performs examinations
Identifies relevant data from images accurately.
Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
Verify patient identification and documentation
Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.
Accurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
ARRT Certification / Registration
Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) before date of hire
Preferred Qualifications
B.S. / B.A.
3 years experience as a technologist in a hospital setting
Advanced Imaging modality certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
