Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the Controller by managing various accounting duties and contributing to the financial health and accuracy of the organization. Responsibilities include preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries, assisting in month end, quarter end, and year end close processes, posting journal entries accurately and timely, conducting bank and balance sheet reconciliations, providing support for accounts payable, including invoice processing, participating in budgeting and forecasting processes, producing comprehensive reports for all levels of management, and contributing to process improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills : Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, 2 years of experience in accounting, proficiency in accounting software and general ledger management, excellent Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs, strong understanding of payroll accounting, GAAP, and job costing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications : Experience in grant accounting and cash flow management, knowledge of debit & credit and accounts payable.

Job Type & Location : This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits : The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
