Stefanini Group is hiring! Stefanini is looking for a Packaging Engineer for the Round Lake, IL location (Onsite work). For quick application, please reach out to Sangeeta Dasadhikary. This is a contract position within the client's R&D group, focusing on packaging engineering activities such as sustaining current product packaging, supporting new product development, and process qualification.

The role requires a solid understanding of packaging theories and practices, including experience with various packaging materials and processes like flexible and rigid films, HDPE, foil pouches, corrugated design, thermoforming, flow-wrap, form / fill / seal, and printing technologies. Travel to manufacturing plants and suppliers may be necessary.

Responsibilities include :

• Leading and contributing to packaging projects across quality, regulatory, cost savings, and new product introductions.
• Managing multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Developing testing protocols and managing change control activities.
• Approving new packaging materials and systems, and studying techniques for improvement and cost reduction.
• Creating packaging specifications and supporting project milestones.
• Generating cost savings ideas and resolving packaging issues using critical thinking and DMAIC techniques.
• Performing financial analysis to justify projects.

Qualifications :

Preferred : Experience in the Medical Field.
