Procurement Specialist
Insight Global is looking for a Procurement Specialist to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a preeminent foundry for semiconductor systems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices, including thermal management, etc.
Responsibilities :
- Procurement & Sourcing : Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for semiconductor materials, components, and equipment. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and supply reliability. Maintain strong relationships with global suppliers to ensure continuity and quality of supply.
- Inventory & Supply Chain Management : Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock. Collaborate with planning and logistics teams to align procurement with production schedules. Use ERP systems to track orders, deliveries, and inventory movements.
- Cost Control & Budgeting : Analyze market trends and cost drivers to forecast pricing and budget impacts. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or performance. Prepare and manage procurement budgets for assigned categories.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance : Ensure all purchased materials meet technical specifications and industry standards. Work with quality and engineering teams to resolve supplier-related issues. Maintain compliance with environmental, trade, and export regulations (e.g., ITAR, RoHS).
- Risk Management : Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies. Diversify supplier base to reduce dependency on single sources.
