Environmental, Health And Safety (Ehs) Director
The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Director will play a key role in Branson's leadership team to lead Branson's global EHS initiatives. This role will ensure Branson is compliant with environmental laws and regulations while enhancing the organization's commitment to sustainable practices. The Director will be responsible for maintaining and advancing numerous EHS Programs to assure the highest degree of safety for employees and environmental compliance. This position will deliver clear directions to ensure employees are working safely by consistently enforcing environmental, safety and health policies.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :
- Strategic Policy Development & Governance Champion the development and implementation of strategic EHS policies and procedures that align with the organization's long-term goals and regulatory frameworks. Lead the organization in achieving compliance with complex local, state, and federal EHS regulations, ensuring readiness for audits and inspections. Serve as the principal architect of EHS governance, fostering a culture of accountability and compliance across Branson.
- Advanced Risk Management and Strategic Assessment Oversee comprehensive risk management strategies that incorporate advanced analytical tools for identifying and mitigating potential hazards. Develop a culture of incident and best practice sharing across sites and regions. Direct high-level investigations into critical incidents and near-misses, leveraging insights to drive systemic change and strategic risk reduction. Develop organizational risk forecasts and scenario planning methodologies to proactively manage emerging safety and environmental challenges.
- Executive Training and Cultural Transformation Design and implement visionary EHS training programs that align with the organization's strategic objectives, enhancing leadership engagement and employee empowerment. Lead initiatives to embed EHS principles into the organizational culture, fostering a proactive safety mindset and environmental stewardship at all levels. Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure EHS training programs support organizational change and resilience.
- Performance Excellence and Transformational Improvement Develop and implement strategic performance metrics and KPIs to elevate EHS performance, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry benchmarks. Lead continuous improvement initiatives that drive transformational changes in safety and environmental performance, leveraging data analytics and innovation. Position the organization as a leader in EHS performance through both internal and external reporting and strategic communications that highlight achievements and commitments.
- Executive Collaboration and Strategic Partnership Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team, providing insights and guidance on EHS trends and integrating EHS strategies with organizational goals. Cultivate strategic relationships with regulatory bodies, industry partners, and key stakeholders to influence policy development and drive collaborative initiatives. Lead cross-functional teams in the development of integrated EHS solutions that align with business strategies and enhance organizational resilience.
For This Role, You Will Need :
Bachelor degree required10+ years of progressive experience in EHS roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management capacityDemonstrated experience in manufacturing and engineering with deep understanding of sector-specific EHS challenges and regulationsProven track record of successfully navigating and complying with complex environmental, health and safety regulationsStrong leadership skills with ability to influence and drive change at all organizational levelsAbility to travel up to 50%, including internationallyLegal Authorization to work in the United StatesPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart :
