We are looking for a dedicated individual to function as a cashier and / or stocker and act in a lead capacity in the absence of the store manager or assistant store manager. The role involves assisting in setting and maintaining plan-o-grams and programs, providing exemplary customer service, and performing other duties to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and teamwork, while protecting company assets and reducing losses.

Duties and essential job functions include unloading trucks, following company work processes to receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes, stocking merchandise, rotating and facing merchandise on shelves, and building merchandise displays. The role also involves restocking returned and recovered merchandise, ordering zones and drop shipment categories, assisting in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance, assisting customers by locating merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization.

Qualifications include the ability to perform mathematical calculations, knowledge of cash handling procedures, ability to perform IBM cash register functions, and effective interpersonal and communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience / training) are preferred.

Working conditions involve frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling; handling of merchandise and equipment; lifting up to 40 pounds, occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds; climbing up to heights of six feet; fast-paced environment; moderate noise level; occasional exposure to outside weather conditions; and occasional driving / providing own transportation.
