Position Description

Title : Shipping & Receiving Associate

Department : PolyAir - IPG Chicago

Immediate Supervisor : Plant Supervisory Staff

Status : Hourly, Non - Exempt

Shift : Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM

Position Purpose : Ships & Receives Loads

Pay Range : From $17.00 up to $19.50.

• Cross-Training Compensation program is available for employees.

Principle Accountabilities

Load and unload trucks and other delivery vehicles

Perform physical material handling and counting

Deal with internal mail / packages / item distribution

Perform internal and carrier systems activity transactions

Check in carriers and ship release

Handle and create receipt and shipping documentation

All duties outlined in Responsibilities of All Plant Employees.

All other duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

2+ Years in a Manufacturing environment / general labor experience preferred.

Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.

Ability to stand, sit and walk for up to 8-10 hours at a time required

Ability to work in space limited work area on continuous basis.

Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis

General computer knowledge and experience handling paperwork, Excel a plus

Effective interpersonal skills

Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role following recommended practices, with an emphasis on safety and injury prevention
