Snelling is searching for a mid-level Welder with stainless experience for a well-established company in the Trussville, AL area. The pay rate for this position is $22.00-30.00 / hr. 1st shift, 6 : 00 am-3 : 30 pm with some overtime. Apply Today with Confidence!

Key Tasks and Responsibilities of Stainless Steel Welder :

Responsible for setting appropriate welding machine parameters for material being welded.
Responsible for making welds to meet print specifications.
Responsible for producing strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent.
Follows required procedures and uses appropriate fixtures to assist in the assembly process.
Basic operation of robotic weld cell as assigned.

Skills / Experience Required for Stainless Steel Welder :

3+ years experience

Knowledge of welding processes and equipment.

Ability to weld vertically, flat, and overhead with good penetration and a quality weld.

Ability to operate acetylene torches.

Math skills include metric system and angles.

Ability to read tape measures and angle finders.

Ability to read blueprint drawings and AWS weld symbols.

Ability to operate forklift and overhead cranes.

Physical ability to weld in awkward positions such as kneeling or lying down.

Ability to lift 50 pounds.
