Senior Project Manager Electrical Construction
Our client is a well-established, national electrical and technology solutions provider with decades of experience supporting complex infrastructure projects. They specialize in delivering comprehensive electrical contracting, systems integration, and construction services for a wide range of industries, including mission critical facilities like data centers.
In this role, you will lead a team managing the construction of large-scale data centers, reporting directly to senior leadership. You will oversee project management, estimating, billing, collections, and team development.
- Ensure compliance with company, client, and project policies
- Promote job site safety and adhere to national safety standards
- Generate estimates and review project proposals
- Establish project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Oversee project execution to meet design, budget, and schedule requirements
- Collaborate with clients to clarify and meet expectations throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate activities of internal staff and subcontractors
- Work directly with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery
- Lead billing and collection efforts proactively
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues
- Develop and maintain strong client and team relationships
- Assist leadership in labor and material planning
- Provide consistent project updates to senior management
- Forecast and manage financials to keep projects on track
- Develop project scopes and budgets
- Manage RFPs and Change Management processes
- Mentor junior team members to support their development
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous personal and professional growth
Education & Experience
Required :
10+ years of construction project management experience5+ years of electrical project management experience in large-scale, complex IT / telecommunications infrastructure projects, including data center installationsFamiliarity with data center electrical distribution systems, cabling, and white space fit-outExperience with retrofits in operational facilities and cross-discipline critical facility systemsStrong computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new systemsAbility to perform well under deadlines and external pressuresCommitment to continuous improvement in communication, organization, and leadershipEffective scheduling, delegation, and task management skillsStrong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilitiesPreferred :
Mission critical project experienceBachelors degree in a related field (e.g., Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Engineering) or equivalent combination of certification, education, and experience (e.g., journeyman or master electricians license)Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI-Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certificationExperience with Google Suite, Salesforce, and estimating software such as ConEstThe company offers a competitive salary range of $130,000.00 / yr - $170,000.00 / yr, plus annual bonus and benefits including medical, dental, and prescription drug insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with matching, life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, paid vacation and holidays, and wellness program.
