Position Summary
Wesleyan College seeks a full-time Assistant Professor of Art with a three year renewable contract specializing in photography, video and/or digital media beginning August 1, 2026. The successful candidate will teach across photography and video courses while contributing to the foundations curriculum and collaborating with interdisciplinary programs such as Advertising Marketing and Communication, Arts Management, and the Culture, Literature, and Media program.
We seek a dynamic educator who brings creative and technical expertise in contemporary photographic and video practices and who is equally enthusiastic about helping students build strong visual foundations. The ideal candidate values collaboration, interdisciplinary approaches, and inclusive teaching in a small liberal arts environment. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to shape a growing digital media program to best meet the needs of our students and interests of the professional field.

Wesleyan’s Art Department includes a 15-seat Mac lab equipped with Adobe Creative Suite, scanners, and large format printers, and a photography/video studio with DSLR cameras and video equipment.
