Position Overview :
The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for coordinating and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain process, ensuring efficient flow of materials, information, and products from suppliers to customers. This role involves demand planning, inventory management, supplier coordination, logistics support, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled at cross-functional communication.
Key Responsibilities :
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service-level agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
Inventory & Demand Planning
Maintain accurate inventory levels to support production and customer demand.Analyze sales forecasts, market trends, and historical data to develop demand plans.Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory and materials availability.Logistics & Distribution
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling, tracking, and documentation.Work with carriers, warehouses, and 3PL partners to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.Manage customs compliance, freight claims, and transportation issues as needed.Process Optimization
Evaluate supply chain workflows and identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve efficiency.Implement best practices in procurement, inventory control, and logistics.Support continuous improvement initiatives such as automation, ERP enhancements, and KPI development.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with operations, production, finance, customer service, and sales teams to support business objectives.Communicate supply chain risks, delays, and solutions effectively across departments.Provide reporting on supply chain metrics, performance, and trends.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field.2–5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or operations.Strong proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and negotiation abilities.Proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools.
