Wickenburg Ranch Golf & Social Club, located in the stunning Sonoran Desert just outside of historic Wickenburg, Arizona, is seeking a passionate, experienced, and visionary General Manager to lead and inspire excellence across all areas of club operations. Position Summary :
As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the Club's operations including golf, food and beverage, membership, fitness, social programming, and clubhouse activities. You will act as the face of the Club, ensuring that members, guests, and employees experience a culture of service, professionalism, and hospitality. This role will be responsible for implementing strategic initiatives and ensuring the Club's long-term success and financial health.
Key Responsibilities :
Ability to deliver overall great member experience, positive financial results, and foster an environment of ideal golf course conditions.
Administers Club policies, procedures and the Strategic Plan.
Able to effectively lead with enthusiasm, poise and positive energy to foster team development and positive Club culture.
Can regularly and effectively communicate to all stakeholders of the Club.
Can effectively participate and / or lead in all Club governance activities to include but not limited to all member / employee, ownership, and Club Committee meetings.
Monitors monthly and other financial reports / statements on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for the facility and takes effective corrective action when necessary.
Coordinates the development and execution of the Club's long-range / strategic and annual (business) plans.
Coordinates development of operating and capital budgets according to the budget calendar; monitors monthly and other financial statements for the Club; takes effective corrective action as required.
Consistently ensures that the Club is operated in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws.
Oversees the care and maintenance of all the Club's physical assets and facilities.
Ensures the highest standards for food, beverage, sports and recreation, entertainment and other Club services.
Reports member infractions to the designated committee for necessary action.
Serves as liaison between all management staff and the ownership group.
Convenes and presides over meetings with departmental managers; conducts all-facility personnel meetings.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
46+ years of progressive leadership experience in private club, resort, or hospitality operations.
Proven success in managing large teams and delivering high-end member or guest experiences.
Strong financial acumen and experience overseeing complex budgets and capital planning.
Skilled in stakeholder communication, conflict resolution, and strategic decision-making.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and modern club management technology systems.
Experience working with boards, committees, and member governance structures is highly preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment :
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and use hands regularly; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
May work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Must be available for flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
Will receive regular feedback from members and stakeholders.
