Job description

POSITION SUMMARY :

The material handler is responsible for pulling and staging the required materials to complete a specific job.

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

  • Assures all received goods and products are properly received, tagged, and stored for ready access.
  • Physically pull, stage, & label materials with correct job information.
  • Performs forklift duties to include verifying materials, quantities, and delivering products to specified locations.
  • Other duties may include, but are not limited to, assisting with pulling internal job orders, weekly and quarterly inventory cycle counts, loading & unloading, stocking shelves, organizing stockroom and OEM parts.
  • Move required materials to production area.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds and be able to stand for several hours at a time.
  • Performs forklift & crane duties of loading, unloading, & moving product.
  • Communicates with various departments when items are delivered.
  • Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • This is a fast-paced environment where demands change from hour to hour.
  • Must have a can do, positive attitude and have the ability to thrive working in a fast-paced team environment.

    • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Must be able to operate a forklift; crane experience desirable but not required.
