Reports to : Katherine Jenkins, Senior Designer, Casual

Position Overview

Passionate and detail-oriented Design Assistant to join the Casual team. In this role, you will work closely with our Design, technical and Production teams to ensure a successful design process, from the start of design until shipping to warehouse. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in apparel construction and have the ability to identify different types of fabrics and fibers. This individual will delight our customer by partnering with our designers and Founders in the execution of the vision for Tuckernucks Casual and occasionally Sport line, if needed in regards to a deadline

Core Responsibilities

• Line sheets, and boards in a timely and accurate manner, WIP & Air Table.
• Responsible for CADs by style as directed by the Senior Designer
• Support and collaborate with the Design team to ensure that deadlines are met
• Participate in design meetings and fitting to provide input on fabrication, style, silhouettes, fit, cost and final execution
• Stay up to date with the latest trends & techniques in the development of garments.
• Assist with the organization of samples prior to fittings ensuring all fit samples are passed off to technical design
• Attend fittings; assist by taking fit notes and follow up on all changes made to BOM, construction\page & sketch.
• Responsible for reviewing submits (lab dips, trim & fabric approvals) with Senior Designer and communicating comments / approvals to vendors
• Responsible for receiving & opening packages from factories and cataloging on WIP.
• Coordinate incoming samples by logging receipt in airtable, adding garment photos to shared albums and ensuring garments are organized on their respective racks
• Create seasonal color palettes
• Responsible for organizing and maintaining development history library
