Job descriptionPerforms work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards. Test-drives vehicles and tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment. Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc. Communicates with the Service Advisor to inform customers if additional service is needed and provides an estimate of time needed for additional repairs. Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. Experience at an automotive dealership. Strong understanding of the service drive. Years of experience vary per position. High school diploma or equivalent. Dexterity with steady hand and good hand-eye coordination. Mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent customer service skills. Basic computer competencies. Positive, friendly attitude and customer-service mindset. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Team player with ability to collaborate effectively. Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures and specifications. Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
