Telemetry RN Job Details Location : Kalamazoo, MI 49048 (Michigan healthcare jobs) Unit : 3N Cardiovascular Unit – 54-bed main Cardiac Telemetry unit Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse contract Start Date : December 1, 2025 End Date : March 2, 2026 Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract Shifts : 3x12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1770-$1820 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Holiday Requirement : Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays Charting : Cerner Powerchart (EMR experience preferred) Scrub Color : Caribbean Blue Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Michigan or compact state, or eligibility to obtain prior to start) Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Cardiac RN experience Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (pending certifications accepted with proof of enrollment) Experience with Cerner charting system (preferred for travel nurse jobs) Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates for this travel RN position) COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Ability to float to similar units or affiliate hospitals as needed Professional conduct, reliability, and strong communication skills Telemetry RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy cardiac telemetry unit Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage cardiac drips (no titration), and respond to rapid changes in patient condition Care for patients with heart failure, myocardial infarction (STEMI / NSTEMI), stroke, arrhythmias, chest pain, and related cardiac diagnoses Administer medications, blood products, and manage central / PICC lines Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services Float to similar units as needed based on census and staffing requirements Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner Powerchart EMR Participate in orientation (16 hours) and complete required pre-start modules (up to 8 hours, self-reported) Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
