Overview :

Sentara Medical Group is currently hiring qualified medical assistants-urgent care float pool!

Must be either a CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT-Basic.

This is a full-time float pool position. This position will primarily cover the urgent care locations in Virginia Beach & Norfolk and may require travel to Elizabeth City.

Standard working hours : swing shift 8a-8p (includes every other weekend and 3 of 6 holidays). Will work 12, 8, and 6-hour increments-80 hours bi-weekly.

Differential pay is provided for the travel and flexibility that is needed for this role.

Overview

Perform patient care and administrative / clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction of the physician, nurse practitioner / physician assistant (NP / PA), registered nurse (RN), or licensed practical nurse (LPN).

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program (preferred)
