About the Job :
The Histotechnician (HT) reports to the Laboratory Supervisor and is responsible for receiving and processing tissue specimens for review by the Pathologist.
What You’ll Do :
- Performs and is proficient in tissue processing, embedding, sectioning and staining.
- Operates all equipment to perform the tasks.
- Uses computer systems.
- Participates in department meetings, e-mail review, HIPAA, safety and accreditation requirements.
