Alkira Consulting is part of the Deloitte D.TEC team supporting the LA28 Olympic Games.
Overview
The role is responsible for the Technology Equipment Allocation Process (TEAP) to agree, record, analyze and manage the demand for end-user technology devices and service requirements at all Games venues.
The Venue Technology Equipment Planning Manager owns and manages the Technology Equipment Allocation Process and maintains the global view of equipment planning and implementation for the Games.
Key Responsibilities
- Works closely with Cluster Venue Technology Managers (CVTMs), Venue Technology Managers (VTMs) and the Venue IT Service Manager across all aspects of the TEAP project.
- Supports the Venue IT Service Manager with the definition and management of the Technology Equipment Product Catalogue.
- Specifies and maintains standard equipment allocations for Functional Area (FA) spaces for each Games Venue, working in alignment with FA contacts to ensure that Technology equipment is allocated as per operational needs, while remaining strictly within budgeted quantities.
- Maintains control over all equipment allocations and acts as a point of contact and coordination for all equipment planning issues.
- Works closely with VTMs in the planning of equipment delivery & deployment schedules and decommissioning & recovery schedules for their Venues.
- Develops close and effective working relationships with FA contacts, Technology Partners and Suppliers.
- Manages and maintains the integrity of the TEAP database, ensuring data is captured consistently and effectively and that TEAP reports are available and distributed, as per the Venue Technology Project Plan.
- Provides guidance and support for VTMs with the production of venue space layouts, defining the necessary considerations for Venue IT equipment.
- Supports Venue IT Service Manager with the production and publication of Games Time Venue IT operational Policy and Procedure documents.
- Works with Rate Card Manager, Technology Partners, Suppliers, and Finance to develop an end-to-end process for Rate Card requirement collection, delivery and recovery.
- Leads education, training, collaboration and coordination with other FAs and TEAP Control Group members (CVTM / VTM, Service Owners, Budget Manager, Rate Card Manager) to gather, record, rationalize and manage requirements.
- Manages a web-based platform for equipment planning & allocation. Performing analysis, preparing reports, training other users, etc.
Games Time Role
Based in the Technology Operations Centre (TOC) to support Venue IT implementation.Supporting Venue IT Service Manager with processing equipment delivery requests by VTMs and coordinating with IT Service Provider and Central Logistics teams based in the Equipment Deployment Centre (EDC) to schedule deliveries.Validate and process TEAP Change Requests, ensuring that any changes are reflected in the TEAP database.Provide support for Venue Technology and EDC-based teams during Transition and Decommissioning phases.Post Games
Produce transfer of knowledge material to ensure that recommendations and lessons learned are transferred to future GamesRequired Skills & Profile
Technical competency in using Excel (advanced), Python and data analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau.1-5 years of experience in a business analysis, data analysis, or technical project management role.University degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.Demonstrated a high quality of work and attention to detail in prior positions.Previous experience in venue technology and / or major events is advantageous.An ability to learn quickly and acquire competence in new areasExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to collaborate positively and proactively in a team environment.Solid organization and time management skills.Ability to thrive in a high-performance environment that delivers excellence.Flexible approach to working hours.Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United StatesThe annual salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000, depending on the level of experience.
