ICU Nursing Job Details Location : Salem, Oregon (97301) – Oregon healthcare jobs Facility Setting : Medical / Surgical ICU Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date : November 17, 2025 Shift : Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts / week (19 : 00 – 07 : 30) Weekly Hours : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1720–$1840 Patient Ratios : 1 : 2 or 1 : 1 Floating : Required between ICU / PCU units and affiliate hospital (within 15 minutes) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Oregon RN license may be pending at submission) Minimum 18 months of recent ICU experience in a hospital with 300 beds At least 2 years of ICU nursing experience required Epic EMR experience required BLS and ACLS certifications required Proficient in IV start, telemetry, conscious sedation, and ventilator management No first-time travel nurses Preferred : CCRN, CPI, TNCC certifications; experience with ICP monitoring and pulmonary artery lines Ability to float between ICU / PCU units and affiliate hospital as needed ICU Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult patients in a busy ICU Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions : sepsis, respiratory failure, traumatic brain injury, stroke, multi-system organ failure, GI bleeding, and post-neurosurgical interventions Initiate and maintain IVs, manage ventilators, titrate vasoactive drips, and administer conscious sedation Interpret telemetry and arterial blood gases; respond rapidly to acute patient changes Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams : respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response Float to other ICU / PCU units and affiliate hospitals as required Document patient care using Epic EMR Experience the best of Salem, Oregon while advancing your ICU nursing career in a supportive healthcare environment.
