Senior Network Engineer Duration - Rolling 3 Month Contract (Renewed every 3 months). Location - Remote (EST hours) Pay Rate - $60-70 / Hour Responsibilities : Oversee the design, development, deployment, support, and analysis of voice and data communication networks. Plan, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across multi-region and multi-cloud environments. Collaborate on the architecture, design, and implementation of fault-tolerant voice and data networks, including disaster recovery solutions. Manage and maintain a wide range of network services, including TCP / IP, VoIP, BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, VPN, firewalls, WAF, IPS, CDN, proxies, load balancing, and DNS. Work with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP to support cloud-based networking needs. Create and maintain detailed documentation of network architecture, configurations, technical procedures, and policies. Monitor system performance and availability, perform packet analysis, troubleshoot and resolve network issues, provide capacity and trend analysis, and coordinate with external partners as needed. Qualifications : Certification : Fortinet NSE 4 (minimum). NSE 5, NSE 6, or higher certifications are highly desirable. Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CCNP Security) Experience : Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in network security and Fortinet product implementation and management. Technical Skills : Proficiency in configuring and managing Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, IDS / IPS, endpoint security, and related technologies. Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex security issues. Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
