The Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Assistant I - Courier. This position provides administrative and courier support to the Airport Authority through a combination of clerical, customer service, and transportation duties. Responsibilities include performing skilled word processing and general office tasks in support of programs and departmental operations, as well as assisting staff, passengers, and customers by providing customer service or escorting as assigned. The position performs routine courier services, such as picking up and delivering materials to various locations, and may operate the Airport shuttle to transport visitors, employees, and other individuals when directed. In addition, the Courier provides clerical support to the administrative department, including front desk coverage, and assists other departments with the setup and breakdown of events, meetings, or displays and collecting and counting of parking lot receipts, rolling coins, and making bank deposits.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• One (1) year of experience in clerical support, delivery services, or a related field preferred.
• Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting, carrying, and extended walking.
