About The Position

Job Title : Ultrasound Tech

Profession : Radiology / Cardiology

Specialty : General Ultrasound

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 8 hours (08 : 30 - 17 : 00)

Experience : 2 years recent experience

License : Valid State License required

Certifications : ARDMS (AB, OB / GYN, or VT) or ARRT, BLS

Must-Have :

• Strong skills with breast imaging
• Experience with various ultrasound procedures

Description :

Perform ultrasound examinations and procedures on all patient age groups.

Demonstrate a high degree of knowledge and understanding of ultrasound services and operations.

Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations by confirming providers' orders and verifying patient identities.

Maintain clinical and technical competency through completion of an annual competency-based orientation tool.

Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure effective departmental operations and quality patient care.

Disinfect equipment and ultrasound probes according to proper infection control standards.

Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure continued availability.

Participate in performance improvement activities for the ultrasound department.

Effectively interact with students, providing supervision and instruction.

Report, record, and file patient information and procedural data to facilitate accurate billing for services.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Special equipment experience is preferred, including Toshiba, Acuson, Hitachi, and Samsung.
