POSITION OBJECTIVES :
At Overseas Food Trading, we source, develop, and import food products from all around the world. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Development - Project Manager to join our growing Retail team. The Product Development Project Manager will be working on both private label and branded new products. The ideal candidate is able to work autonomously and combines technical expertise with commercial insight, translating complex product goals into clear deliverables while supporting the sales team with strategic guidance and client engagement

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Project Management & Product Development
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of product development projects—from concept to launch—ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
- Collaborate with suppliers, compliance, supply chain, finance and design teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Supplier Engagement : Manage and nurture relationships with international suppliers, including onboarding, sampling, product specs, and pricing.
- Manage scope, budget, resources, and risk for multiple concurrent projects.
- Logistics & Operations Interface : Liaise with logistics and operations teams to coordinate production timelines, import requirements, documentation, and inventory flow.
- Establish and maintain the best practices for project tracking, reporting, and communication.
- Interact with suppliers as well as customers to ensure deadlines are met.
- Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline development workflows, reporting, or supplier collaboration
Key Responsibilities
Sales Enablement & Strategic Support
Partner with the Senior Sales Manager and Junior Sales Manager to understand client needs and strategic priorities.Translate product features and roadmaps into compelling sales narratives, supporting presales engagements and proposal development.Provide technical and project-based insights to assist in client-facing conversations, RFP responses, and solution tailoring.Support key account planning and client presentations as a subject matter expert in product capabilities and development status.Team Leadership

Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, product management, or a related fieldMBA or relevant master’s degree preferred.3 to 5 years of experience in project and product management.Proven experience working cross-functionally, particularly with sales or go-to-market teams.Strong understanding of product lifecycle development.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; capable of influencing at all organizational levels.Key Competencies

Frequent standing and sitting. Intermittent squatting, bending, twisting, lifting. This position requires excellent visual acuity and auditory sense. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
