The Opportunity

Were seeking a Project Estimator to join our dynamic preconstruction team. This role is essential to delivering accurate budgets and competitive bids that reflect New Stars reputation for excellence. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of construction processes, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for high-end residential, multifamily, resort, and commercial projects
• Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure budgets align with design intent and scope
• Conduct take-offs, analyze subcontractor proposals, and prepare bid packages
• Evaluate drawings, specifications, and project documents to anticipate costs, risks, and opportunities
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and partners to ensure competitive pricing and reliable execution
• Provide value engineering options and cost-saving recommendations to clients and internal teams
• Support preconstruction efforts, from conceptual pricing through GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) development
• Assist in project handoff, ensuring a smooth transition from preconstruction to field execution
