Location : Park Ridge, NJ
Position Overview : We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Benefits Manager / Account Manager to join Consolidated Human Resource (“CHR”). The ideal candidate will be a client-facing contact, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of employee benefit programs. This role ensures a high level of service delivery, accuracy, and client satisfaction through proactive communication, issue resolution, and renewal support.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage day-to-day administration of group benefit plans, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, and other ancillary lines. Retirement plans, 401K, and wellness initiatives are a plus
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding benefit-related matters, with escalation support from the Director of Benefits.
- Address employee eligibility and enrollment issues; coordinate corrections or updates with carriers and payroll teams. Ensure timely processing of claims.
- Provide ongoing support to the Benefit Coordinator for benefits orientation sessions for new hires and provide ongoing education about available benefits.
- Handle benefit-related inquiries from clients, and employees with professionalism and clarity.
- Review and submit payroll adjustments for processing related to benefit deductions, arrears, and retroactive changes.
- Support clients through the renewal process, including reviewing carrier proposals, preparing renewal presentations, and participating in renewal discussions. Including gathering data and preparing reports.
- Maintain accurate records of employee benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Monitor on-going compliance with federal and state regulations related to employee benefits.
- Support the internal HR team and Benefits Director with special projects and initiatives as needed.
- Collaborate with external benefits providers and vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery for our clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local benefits regulations. Ensure that all benefits programs comply with applicable laws and regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
- Ability to analyze benefits data and trends to recommend improvements or changes to programs at renewal is a plus.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.Life / Health license a plus3-5 years of experience in benefits administration.Proficiency with EPIC and Prism is a plus, or other Benefit Administration platforms.Strong knowledge of Group Health and Welfare Benefits.Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (e.g., ACA).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.What We Offer :
