Position Title : ELECTRICAL DRAFTER

Responsible to : ENGINEERING DIRECTOR
Position Summary : This position is primarily responsible for the creation, organization, and dissemination of electrical / electronic schematics as needed by the IC&E Engineering team. Duties can involve some hands-on lab work, and document writing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Use AutoCAD to create and modify electrical and electronics schematics for turnkey power generation solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to develop accurate and complete schematics.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform quality checks on completed schematics to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of schematics and related documentation.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge related to drafting and AutoCAD software.
- Assist the IC&E team with lab equipment drawings and installation / testing.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop accurate technical specifications and RFQ's.
Qualifications :
High school diploma, skilled labor certificate, or equivalent.3+ years of experience in drafting, preferably with electrical or electronics schematics.5+ years of industry-related experience or an associate degree in a technical field.Proficient in AutoCAD and related software.Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and standards.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A willingness to learn and adapt to changing technologies and industry practices.Valid driver's license.Other Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with the installation, operation, or troubleshooting of industrial automation equipment.Experience with electronics test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc.Experience with Digital Multifunction Protection Relays.Experience with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories' electronics.Experience with SolidWorks.Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) and / or other relevant codes and standards.Experience in the electrical and electronics industry.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
