Kelly Services is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for a long-term position with a global client based in Irvine, CA. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 401k, and paid time off. The Purchasing Specialist will support a group of internal Procurement professionals as well as external customers. While this is mainly support, we are looking for an experienced individual that understands Procurement and Supply Chain management.
Major responsibilities include coordination of the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process, preparation and management of quote requests, management of the Purchase Order process, support of vendor and client invoicing, invoice reconciliation, PO and invoice problem resolution, and preparation of presentations as requested.
Experience required includes 3+ years in a Procurement organization, preferably in the Medical Device industry. Other FDA regulated industries will be considered. Strong analytical / technical aptitude competence is necessary. Experience with Engineering Change Orders and Supplier Change requests is preferred. Knowledge of ERP system, Document Control System, and Excel is a plus. Experience working in a highly matrixed company environment and Manufacturing Operations, specifically in a GMP environment is highly preferred. Bachelors Degree is required.
