Overview
The Sales Solution Engineer 3 is responsible for providing technical and / or industry expertise to the sales team and customers in the pre-sales process.
Responsibilities
Act as the technical lead for complex customer engagements, applying extensive knowledge of solutions and / or vertical
- Lead customer pre-sales meetings, identify technical requirements, and formulate solution strategy
- Create a demonstration of the solution strategy, applying solutions knowledge, experience and best practice knowledge
- Present demonstration of proposed solution to key customer stakeholders for validation and buy-in
- Lead customer software evaluation and proof of concept exercises
- Compose internal documentation that fully reflects all activity related to the solution strategy
- Provide technical responses for request for proposals (RFPs)
- Take proactive measures to identify and improve internal efficiencies and grow knowledge of the team; remain current on best practices and market trends
- Present at trade shows, conferences and events
- Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; may provide feedback to leadership on technical abilities of team
- Work with development in support of solution enhancements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field, such as Management Information Systems or Computer ScienceSignificant experience in technical sales and relevant industry or technologyExperience developing applications using .NET, C / C++, Java, and / or PythonExperience collaborating with and selling to Product and Development teams desiredExperience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM)Experience with general software implementation methodologiesAble to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environmentSelf-directed with the ability to manage projects to completionStrong collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areasDemonstrated ability to develop and use engaging, informative and compelling presentation methodologiesSpeak or write with ease, clarity and impact, using a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audienceDemonstrated ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others; effective at gaining consensusDriven to learn and stay current professionallyUp to 60% travel time requiredOr an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the jobBased on individual states' employment laws, the following details are to comply with the relevant salary posting requirements : base salary range of $104,000-$176,000 and eligible for benefits and variable compensationWhat you can expect next
