We value our incredible Certified Nursing Assistants and want to ensure they practice at the top of their license to better optimize their skills and experience. We've also developed a career path framework for CNAs that clarifies paths to move, develop and advance CNA careers into nursing and other roles. The Certified Nursing Assistants provides direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following :

• Six months previous CNA experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Basic computer skills
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• High School diploma or GED required
• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program required
• State registered CNA license required
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training preferred. CPI training required if sitting with M-1 holds

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and / or up to 20lbs frequently, and / or up to 10lbs constantly)

The Medical Oncology department at Mercy Hospital is an outpatient department with ten patient chairs, where we treat all types of patients; those that are non-insured, under insured and insured. We care for each patient like they are our family and we have an outstanding team of people who come to work every day to care for great patients.

The team has a flexible work schedule, must have the ability to execute a variety of different types of work within a fast-paced environment and wonderful support with a lot of potential for growth. We need team members who are committed to patients, willing to work hard and are compassionate and understanding. It takes a special person to work in oncology and we have a lot of them here.

$18.00 - $25.25 / hour
