Overview

About the Role : The General Laborer is responsible for assisting our foreman with installing all types of pipelines. Laborers utilize a variety of skills across multiple field sites to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and with the highest quality. Laborers must be familiar with running hand tools and operators familiar with Directional drills, Backhoes or mini excavators, must be able to lift over 50+lbs. Requires a comprehensive understanding of safety policies and procedures related to utility construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic gas system maintenance and construction tasks under supervision.
• Assist in installation and repair of pipelines, fittings, and other gas system components.
• Adhere to safety protocols and follow instructions from senior technicians.
• Perform tasks involving physical labor at job sites in the field.
• Operate hand and power tools of all types.
• Cleans and prepares sites, dig trenches, cleans up rubble and debris, etc.
• Provide assistance to other workers and operators.
• Load and unload equipment from trucks.
• Ensure that all work is being done in compliance with the company's protocols.
• Maintain a safety-first culture and actively participate in safety training.
• Additional duties as needed.

The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The employee may be subject to one or more of the following atmospheric conditions that may affect the respiratory system from fumes, odors, mists, or gases. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
