Responsibilities

A Intervention Specialist contributes to AHF by contributing to South Side Help Center’s (SSHC) mission of offering culturally sensitive, accurate education and information in a positive non-judgmental way. As a vital part of South Side Help Center’s team, you will be instrumental in extending to clients quality service to make them feel comfortable and supported. The Intervention Specialist, working with HIV Negative Men who have Sex with Men (MSM) ages 18+ will focus on HIV, sexual health, sexual risk, behavioral management, and staying HIV-negative. You will under the direction of the program director implement group level sessions, including scheduling, planning, facilitation and recruitment of program participants through various venues including social media and peer networks, and community providers who serve this population. You will establish rapport with clients and maintain open communication. Demonstrate attention to detail when maintaining program documentation and accurate confidential client files, providing timely program updates, and ensuring the client is receiving the highest quality of care.

A Intervention Specialist enhances the reputation of AHF by providing quality services, resources, and accurate information to consumers in a timely fashion.

As the Intervention Specialist you can also contribute to the success of South Side Help Center by lending a hand when needed, showing flexibility, and executing the agency’s mission.
