Overview
Must LOVE Dentistry! And Dogs! Animal Care Clinic, in El Cajon, California, is currently looking to hire two Registered Veterinary Technicians to join our team. Our ideal candidates will have open availability, excellent time management skills, and be able to work well in a team. We have added additional doctors to our already busy, full-service veterinary hospital and are expanding our service into the evening and Saturday.
Salary : $25 - 28 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, education, and licensure.
Schedule : Four or Five 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, rotating Saturdays. Closed on Sunday and major holidays.
Location : 2650 Jamacha Rd #159, El Cajon, CA 92019

Who you are
Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of California, license must be active and in good standing.3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical settingKnowledge of industry tools and equipmentPassion for working with animals and their ownersExperience with proper animal handling and restraintUnderstand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skillsObtain accurate and thorough medical historiesPerform basic exam proceduresSkilled in venipuncture and Intravenous (IV) catheter placement (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)Able to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioningPerform complete dental procedures, including digital x-rays, scaling, polishing, charting, and extractions (simple, complex, gingival flaps)Comfortable with general anesthesia and surgical assisting (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique)Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); in-house laboratory equipmentAbility to utilize ultrasound to obtain diagnostic images and urine samples preferredExcellent client communication / educationBenefits We Offer
